The Insider's Guide to Fallbrook, California

A short 18-mile drive from the Pacific Ocean, the greater Fallbrook area is well known for its gently rolling hills, lush groves, ancient oak trees, equestrian and walking trails, riparian areas, nature preserves, and Mediterranean climate.

Fallbrook History

Located just 26 miles east of the Pacific Ocean, Fallbrook boasts a rich history spanning over one hundred years. The Santa Fe Railroad ran through Fallbrook from 1881 to the early 1970s—and even as late as 1963 a “special” Santa Fe train brought passengers to Fallbrook from Los Angeles for the annual Avocado Festival.
